Laptop takes forever to start up

The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 7500 PIII 600mhz running windows 2000. I have done all of the checks and it really didn't help much. So here is my log. Thank you in advance for your help!

Well there are a few things you can disable, that are not really necessary.

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot

O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE

Reboot and let me know if the difference is noticeable.

Ok I fixed the items and this time it took about 7 minutes to get firefox open from the time I hit the power button. I noticed that on the systems tray the last program that loads is the Norton Antivirus. After that loads, then everything opens up quickly. Is the issue with the laptop not enough ram? Currently it has 128mbs. But that was never an issue until just recently. Please let me know. Thanks for the help!

You can try if uninstalling and re-installing Norton helps.
