Hi. I have an orange.net email account but a BT broadband account. Until recently everything has worked fine, but now
I can only receive e mails but cannot send. Does anybody know the settings that should be entered into my e mail server as I presume something must have changed? Or any other reason why I suddenly cant send e mails?

Hi penfold1,

BT Connect:

SMPT out going mail
Mail.btconnect.com

pop / pop3
Pop3.btconnect.com

As far as I can tell that should be it.

Thanks

Hi. Tried that but makes no difference. Just going around in circles. I get an error 550 message when sending fails:

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Subject 'Fw: '
Server Error: 550
Server Response: 550 Not permitted
Server: 'mail.btconnect.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC78
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): No

any ideas would be appreciated
