After all this I'll give my laptop a reboot, just to make sure that the repair are in place.

Thank you heaps for this aye, I highly appreciate it. There was somethiing that you said on my cousins post as well:

The computer will be more secure without java, install only if you know that is really needed.

I'm thinking about removing it off my laptop cause I dont really need it and I'm more about security these days.

You can disable Java only on the browser where the risk resides.

Open the Control Panel > open the Java applet > click the Security tab and uncheck the box Enable Java content in the browser

Something I remember only now.

The laptop have some way to turn the Bluetooth on and off? Something like Fn + some other key or a switch?

When you use the Fn + key combination do you get any indication that its working?

Nopr, on mine theres the WiFi key that does nothing now, the sleep key, the change monitors key, turn off mouse key, and the shut up button.

That could be the problem, I have a Dell laptop and the Bluetooth is associated with the wireless connection if I turn off wireless with the Fn + F2 key in my case the Bluetooth is turned off also.

Probably you need to reinstall the utility that allows you to turn on/off wireless.

Windows 8.1 sucks I was using it.
btw: open cmd and type fsquirt and temme if any bluetooth window shows up or nt.

if yes

then press window key search for it and find its location
make a shortcut to it and then
again open run and type shell:sendto and paste it there and then u can have option in sendto.

if no
pres window key+w and type troubleshoot and select it or simply open control panel and select it.
On right pane click on view all and select network adapter and click next then select bluetooth and click next it will find the roblem and fix it in its own.

if u didn't see bluetooth option in troubleshoot then chk ur device manage is there any exclamation sign is there if yes update it or manually install driver according to ur hardware.

Hi VzAcnY,

First thing first.... when addressing someone with giving them advise on what to do, please type it out fully, not everyone understands "teen text" (i do personally because I have 3 younger sister who short text.) Second, when addressing someone with advice with using CMD, please remember there are some commands that you can only use in "Admin mode", you need to be clear on this when offering help. Now to your suggestions (and i have corrected your spelling in the quotes for those that don't understand it)

by the way: open cmd and type fsquirt and tell me if any bluetooth window shows up or not.

Yes the send and recieve screen comes up. All this I have already tried before comming into the forum......

Windows update has already updated it and I have disabled it on purpose, because I have not been able to use it since upgrading to windows 8.1 and cant be bothered rolling back to windows 8 :D :D.
