i have bright house cable internet, just recently upgraded to higher speeds due to more devices in the house connecting to our network. they brought the new modem and since then the internet continues to disconnect and reconnect even things that are connected to the modem via ethernet cable.. they came out today told me that the signal was great and that there isn't any problems. he did switch out our modem for a motorola SBG 6580. as soon as he left he it started up again. they tech guy told me that he suggested that i downgrade to a standard modem and go out and buy a wireless router and that should fix my problem. Does anyone know if this is true would that fix my problems. I don't want to be paying 90.00 a month for service that isn't usable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. when online i used speedtest.net and my results were as follows ping 50ms----download speed 40.16 mbps----upload 5.61mbps
