Yes, I see that I can not use Calendars for the live.com accounts that I switched to IMAP. I'll just use the hotmail account for my calendar for now. It is frustrating that Microsoft can't fix this so that we can use Calendar and other functions without the other problems.

Yes, I can see that your tip on changing the email account order may work, but I think I will just leave it as is for now. Thanks again for your help.

Hi

I have followed the above instructions to change to IMAP but am receiving the following error message:

"Send test e-mail message: Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)"

The problem remains today? Did you check the account configuration to make sure that the server name and ports are correct?
