I have a new graphics card, EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2765-KR GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card and my old graphics card, MSI R5770 Hawk Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card. I want to set up a 2nd monitor using my old card. Can I Crossfire/SLI these 2 cards? Will it mess me up at all? Do I even have to Crossfire/SLI them or can I just put in the 2nd card and connect it to the power and monitor without Crossfire/SLI and go?

I want my old graphics card going to my 2nd monitor. Both cards have HDMI slots. I have a HDMI slot on my motherboard too but I don't want the integrated graphics running it. I am a live streamer on twitch and it is hard to tab out mid game to reply to someone in chat. My power supply is CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 650W ATX12V/EPS12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance Power Supply.

For what you want to do, sorry, not possible. As far as I am aware you could use odd cards only as, one for graphics and one for PhysX, I do not know if it works with current day cards, and you would have to be a bit of a genius.

Can I plug the 2nd monitor into the HDMI on my motherboard then, even though I don't want to? I don't have one of those monitor cables.... what are they called, DVI/VGA cables?

They are both Tv's, both LG. Main is a 50 inch LG LED tv and the other is a 42 inch LCD tv. I will have to do some rearranging to get the model so please give me some time to do that, I will post later today.

Your displays are going to limit you a little.
Keep using HDMI to HDMI from the GPU to your main screen.
this is where the limitation is for your second screen.
Displayport carries video and sound but the sound is transmitted slightly differently to HDMI sound.
Your best option for video is GPU Displayport to TV HDMI but, that will not carry sound. Any other combination will give lower video quality and still no sound. You can still get sound to the TV by using an Audio cable. See link.
So you will need the following.

Just to confirm, I can use a DVI-D to HDMI cable and a 3.5mm Audio cable and adapter to get video and sound from my 2nd monitor, the 42inch?

My graphics card box says "DVI-D = Digital only. Please do not connect to "DVI to VGA" adapter." I will be safe with DVI-D to HDMI, correct?

No. According to the manual your 42" has a RGB D-sub 15 pin (VGA)
You could use the adaptor on this page, but would still need a VGA and a Audio cables. Would be lower video performance, > http://mycablemart.c...t_detail&p=3869

You best option to give the best video for that size screen is.

The ports on the Graphics card. (unfortunate can't use the MB graphics at the same time)

Yes you can. You will need this cable + an audio cable.

You are going to use that connection for your main screen. You only have the one HDMI out port from the video card that is why you need an alternative connection for your second screen.

Displayport to HDMI it is then. Now for the Audio, I don't have the red white ports on my PC anywhere. The open ports that would even come close to fitting these are labeled, rear, sub, and in.

Ok, here we go.

You will need to try in different audio pairs on the TV to find which works.
Important. The jacks on a TV are not Plug and Play like USB on the computer, you must switch off the TV when making connections in case damage is caused.
