Hi,

Just to confirm did you apply the Braind-fix.cmd sucessfully?

Please connect the Transcend Backup Drive then Open Disk manager, take a screenshot and post in your reply.

To Open Disk Manager
- click Start
- on the search box type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter
- expand the Disk Manager window to show all drives and blocks then take a picture

Thanks, just to confirm that your Harddisk1 is your external Hard Disk, because of this errors on last log:

Description: The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR1.

You need to run a disk check on the volume but there is always the chance of losing something if serious errors are found.
If you have critical data on the disk you should try to copy the data to another place and then from the Command Prompt running as Administrator type:
chkdsk /r /x k:

Ok, the chkdsk /r /x k: has been completed.

  • download ListChkdskResult
  • execute the file and accept all the windows prompts to authorize the program to run
  • Notepad will open with a report showing the chkdsk result
  • copy & paste the log to your reply

Try to do a backup now to see if it works.

Eventually my script may have failed because there are no records for other drive besides C:

Are you sure you checked the correct drive and with all the parameters I post?
The chkdsk /r scan will take a long time specially on a big drive like yours.

Hi,

The log show now problems. If it's a Desktop computer make sure you connect the external drive to the USB ports on the back because same times the ones on the front panel can give some problems with big drives.

Did you try to backup?

No, I:ll try the backup when I get home from work tonight. I only use one port in the front of my PC desk top for my wireless mouse. All other ports I use are used in the back of my desk top.

The backup using Windows Backup and Restore failed again. Error 0x80070005 was listed as the reason.
