I have a program called 'Maucampo' on the pc. I have removed the add on from my browser (firefox)
But I can't uninstall it from the pc. I have tried a few programs to uninstall, but they all requite the program's own 'uninstall' on the pc which will not work.
It will go half way to uninstall, then stop and the 'x' button will be unclickable and freeze. I have to ctrl+alt+del it to get it go away which says au_.exe is not responding

I can guess at how I accidentally installed it (stupid fake programs that claim to help). I am careful with what I install and I watch those tick marks. But somehow it sneaked its way onto my pc and now won't go away.

This is the computer info I got from bluescreen

Hello heartskey876,

Welcome to Geekstogo.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

  • Right click to run as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will produce a log called (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run from.
  • Please copy and paste log back here.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please also paste that into your reply.
After that

Please download zoek.exe and save it to your desktop (Firefox users right click and Save Link As...).

  • Close any open browsers.
  • Temporarily disable your AntiVirus program. (If necessary)
  • Double click zoek.zip
  • Double click on zoek.exe to run.
  • Please wait while the tool starts. It will appear to be doing nothing and may take a few seconds to come up.
  • Copy the text below and paste it into the large window in the zoek tool:

StandardSearch;

  • Click on Run script button
  • Please wait patiently (it may take a few minutes) until a log report will open (this may be after reboot, if required)
  • Copy (Ctrl +C) and paste (Ctrl +V) the contents of the opened entire report back here.
Note: It will also create a log in the C:\ directory named "zoek-results.log"

So when you return please post
  • FRST.txt
  • Additional.txt
  • zoek-results.log
