Ok good. Now I don't see any reason for the install to fail!

Before trying to install let's do a little maintenance...

Download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop
  • Please double-click TFC.exe to run it. (Note: If you are running on Vista or above accept the Security Warning).
  • It will close all programs when run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin.
  • Click the Start button to begin the process. Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two. Let it run uninterrupted to completion.
  • Once it's finished it should reboot your machine. If it does not, please manually reboot the machine yourself to ensure a complete clean.

Open the Command Line
Click Start > Run > type cmd and press Enter

- On the black window type the following, and press Enter:
chkdsk /F /X C:
When it ask if you want to do a scan on next restart answer Yes
- restart the computer

Edit:

After restart try to install the program.

Sorry one more check before install:

From the command prompt type:
sc start msiserver
The result should be like this, tell me if not:

The Windows Installer service is starting.
The Windows Installer service was started successfully.

Please download SystemLook from the link below save it to your Desktop.
SystemLook (32-bit)

  • Double-click SystemLook/SystemLook_x64 to run it.
  • Copy the content of the following codebox into the main textfield:
    :service
    msiserver

  • Click the Look button to start the scan.
  • When finished, a notepad window will open with the results of the scan. Please post this log in your next reply.
Note: The log can be found on your Desktop entitled SystemLook.txt

Try to Start the Windows Installer service to see if it works:

- Click Start > Run > type services.msc and press Enter
- locate the service Windows Installer, right click and select Start

The service starts or gives an error? Which?
