Hi Brotty :welcome:

- First can you locate your outlook.pst file?
The file it's probably big if you have a lot of emails and should have a recent date usualy located at C:\Documents and Settings\[yourUserName]\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\*.pst
- Please make a backup copy of the file to an external drive or to another folder.

Sometimes the Outlook pst file gets corrupt and you need to run the Inbox Repair tool
- Make sure Outlook isn't running by closing it
- Open your Office folder c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11
- Double-click Scanpst.exe
- In the Enter the name of the file you want to scan box, enter the name of the .pst file that you want to check, or click Browse to search for the file in your Documents and Settings folder
- Click Start

The scan can take some time if the .pst file is big.
