I recently used a program called auslogics defrag and it said it defragged my D drive.I thought that drive D could not be accessed by the user because it was for the backup and restore feature of windows. Is my D drive now compromised after this unintentional defrag?

HP pavilion g6-2225nr
Win 8 x64 V6.2 IE 10
auslogics Defrag V4.4.1

The best way to find out is to try to start the Recovery to factory process, see if it works. If it does start, exit out as soon as you can.
