On startup of my PC I get this error:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:C:\Program Files...
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C Runtime incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

What is causing this? I use Windows Vista. Is this some new problem with the itunes program? This problem only started today. I don't recall added any updates or even running itunes in the last week.

Have you tried using Windows' "System Restore" to roll Windows back to a previous state when your computer was functioning correctly? It allows you to undo system changes without affecting your personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos.

Gday.
There has recently been a post with similar problems. If a system restore does not work, please go to the link and follow the instructions given by SleepyDudePosted Image

I'm reminded of the fact that Apple itune updated failed just recently. Probably the cause of this problem?

Seems to have cause quite a few problems for other people in the last two weeks.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error R6034 on start up

What do you guys think?

Yes, it's possible. Use System Restore to roll it back to a date before the update occurred.

I never done a system restore and I don't intend to start now.

Looks like it is a an itunes problem. So you think I should definitely uninstall itunes and restall. Would waiting for apples next update be better when they might fix the problem they caused?

Cheers,

Windows' System Restore takes all of maybe 3 minutes, and it does not affect your personal files,

A Factory Restore is a whole different ballgame.

Tried manually installing itunes per itunes instructions.

Got these two messages so it is defintiely an apple problem.

So time to read up on an apple solution to this problem.

Gday.
Have you tried a System Restore? It will make alterations to your system but will not change or alter you personal DATA. Pick a date a couple of das before you got the first Runtime error.
