I am having multiple problems with my PC when I reinstalled.

1. When I spend some time on the Internet, most of the time I can't close the browser, I have to use the Task Manager to close it.

2. Most of the times when using Internet it freezes my desktop icons and I can't click on them.

What causes these problems and what can I do to fix them?

Or is there a certain update that I need to download?

Many IE problems are caused by Add-ons. Try running without them for a bit and see if the problem goes away. If yes then disable them a few at a time until you find the culprit.

The easiest way to run IE without Add-ons is to open a Run box and enter iexplore -extoff.

You could also just reset IE which will make it like it was the first time you used it.
