Hi, I inherited a computer that was built from different parts. I have DDR kingston value ram and was looking to get a bigger stick and I find out they are discontinued. So if I get a DDR2 or DDR3 do I need a new motherboard? Or what parts would I need? Any help is appreciated, if you need more info please also let me know where I'm looking in the computer in order to get the info back to you. :)

Thank you!

Hello Destiny000

Use the Crucial system scanner tool to find the best recommended Ram for your system, no need to purchase from there, write down the details and shop around for the best deal Crucial

You are most welcome Destiny000 :)

Can I ask what Ram upgrade was suggested and if you have been able to find the Ram for a good price.
