Hi, I am running Win7 and Incredimail.

I was running Incredimail 2 with the option to Update to 2.5

When I Updated I lost my previous settings so deleted the 2.5 Update and reinstalled Incredimail 2.

Of course I just finished up with a Fresh Install which did not recover the previous settings.

Now, whatever is deleted from "anywhere" I understand or led to believe that it hasn't Gone it is still somewhere on ones HD just invisible or being overwritten.

IF that is true then a software retrieval program should be able to find it.

Hopefully my belief is correct and if so what programs are out there to accomplish my objectives.

However, if you know of a tried and proven method of retrieval for this scenario I would be most grateful for your assistance.

thanking you

Incredimail is truly horrendous to use, I have reinstalled it for another user in the past after doing the exact same thing. I believe the issue was that version 2.5 does not support POP (like, serious). In that instance we restored from a recent backup but there was still some stuff lost.

Are any of these links helpful? http://email.about.c...ecover_fold.htm

Otherwise you're left with a data recovery program, such as Recuva. If this PC has been in use since I wouldn't hold too much hope, but it just might be possible.

Thanks Troy,

I will have a look at what you have suggested, however it might be too late.
Having tried a number of resources without any success I resorted to Recuva and am processing the results from that.
In the meantime I will check out your suggestions.
Thanks a million
