Hi. I have a kind of bizarre situation and i'm not sure where to start.

I have been transferring files (upload/download) to multiple points through an ftp server for several years now. Just recently, the download speed has been reduced to a crawl.

Upload speeds are fine and other clients are not experiencing any problems. Just me. I'm in a different country from my clients although I've downloaded from here previously and not had a problem.

There is no contact for the ftp server host. I checked their website and it was last updated in 2006. No contact links work.

Any ideas where to start looking for problems?

If whomever owns the slow server doesn't care (or they up and died), you might want to consider finding another host.
