Hi all,
I was doing a update on my Win7 and it was in the process of configuring the updates when I accidentally turned off the machine. Now when I try to boot it, no matter what I try, it shows a blue screen saying "STOP: C0000135 The program can't start because %hs is missing. Try resintalling the program" . Unfortunately, I had just placed some important files on my desktop just before the update and it would be a disaster if I were to lose them... Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you in advance!

Hi mshuangchao :welcome:

Can you try this?

- Start the computer and immediately press several time the F8 key to access a menu like the one on the image

- Select the option Last Know Good Configuration (advanced)

Let me know the result.

Hi SleepyDude,

Many thanks for your reply, the problem has been fixed now by reinstalling the system.
But before that, I did try what you suggested and it would still go to the same bluescreen.
