I do lots of PSP things and I would like to use some tutorials from a friends website to make forum sets.
Anyway, I cannot get to her website.
I have tried everything that I know of and all I get is a big white page telling me "Server not Found".
I know that the site exists because I know the owner and she's even tried to help me get there. LOL

So far I have done..... ( I have XP/Firefox )

Disk Cleanup
Defrag
Checked my Adblock
Shut down and reset my router
Deleted cookies....cleaned cache

I tried with IE with no luck and I tried Chrome and I got a plain white page that says....
OOOPS! Google Chrome could not find.....LaineysLair
Try reloading.........or something like that.

Can anyone help me with this?

Frustrated.

Here's the link to the website that I'm trying to get into.
I've had a lot of people tell me that they got right in but that isn't helping me, LOL :help:

Mmmm. I don't understand about proxies.
Can you explain more about it cause I don't want to join a Yahoo group to get a proxy unless it's absolutely necessary.
I've been online for 13 years and never had to deal with a proxy before.
I'm a little hesitant cause my pc is 12 years old and I don't want anything to happen to it.
Don't get me wrong....I'm not saying that you're steering me in the wrong direction.
It's just that I've never had trouble getting into a website like this before when everyone I know that has XP and Firefox is able to get into this site.
Thanks

You don't have to install, change or join anything. Simply go to that website and type in the URL.

Have you tried using Windows' "System Restore" to roll Windows back to a previous state when your computer was functioning correctly? It allows you to undo system changes without affecting your personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos.

OK I tried a proxy website given to me by the person whose site I'm trying to get into and this is what I got.

You are seeing this page because
you exceeded the daily bandwidth quota for users of our free restricted service

Ohhhhh, no, I don't do system restores for anything.
I was warned about that by some people at Community Feedback years ago.

My pc is 13 years old and I can't afford to lose it now.
She's a senior citizen and teetering on a cliff right now.

I'll try the proxy site that you gave me but no system restore cause I have too much on here right now to chance losing anything.
Because it's XP I've been saving things for months onto an external hardrive to transfer to my laptop when things start to look grim after XP is no longer supported after April.

I'll be back to let you know about the proxy.

EDIT: OK, I'm back and I'm a happy camper!
I got into my friend's site and was able to see what I needed.
Thanks for all of your help.
I got in with the proxy that you gave me the link for and one that she linked me to.
Now I know what proxies can do.

Thanks
