I am studying for my ICND1 currently and will study for ICND2 immediately after. On top of this, I really want to learn more applications and OS just to further educate myself. I should mention I have a 4 year degree, so I should be able to land a decent job after I obtain my certs.

My question is this:

1) What applications or OS do any of you recommend that I will need to know more about in the networking field? (wireshark, Windows Server 2012, etc.)

Also, it doesn't just have to be a networking type app. For example, I am watching tutorials on MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Shockwave, etc.

I just want to get a better feel for widely used applications and OS. Thank you in advance!
