Strange Issue

Ok so I'm not sure if I'm in the right place for this, but I need some help with my new system. Everything works on it fine, except for the last week one of the lights for the built-in card reader will not go out. I know I've put a card in there to see if it was the right one, but I took the card out and still the light stays on. Is this a new thing for the hard drive? Or is there some reason it could be thinking there's a card in there when there isn't?
