Hey Guys...

So i get this error when i boot STOP: 0X00000024 (0x00190203, 0x82B987B0, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000)

I pretty sure it is probably a corrupt file which i no how to fix with either my OS Disc or my Falcon Four Disc... But here comes the thing that's stumped me.

When i try and boot my recovery Disc i get this error "Invalid BOOT.INI file Booting from C:windows"

So is the corrupt file the file i need to boot my Disc to fix the problem? :/ If so i have no idea what im supposed to do... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

My Laptop is a - Dell Inspiron 1300

Try the recovery disc on another computer just to see if it will boot.
Does the laptop have the one time bot key, usually F12? If so, try booting the CD with that.

Yep it boots fine on another computer... And no i cant see anything like that :/ This is some other stuff i have tried -

- Tried tapping ctrl and f11 so i could reset to factory settings but it did not work.
- I ran the diagnostics and i Fail... -- Start DST Short Test --

Error Code: 1000- 0146

Msg: Unit 0:DST Log contains previous error(s).

- Tried booting in safe mode and i just get bsod.

It is actually like there is no way in or to fix it.

Ctrl+F11 should get you to Factory Restore:

Sounds to me like the hard drive may have gone bad.

Check the hard drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.

If it tests okay then try running chkdsk from the Recovery Console, see here: CHKDSK - How to run from the Recovery Console
