Ok so my sister broke the screen on her laptop and she's getting a new one so i asked her if I could take the memory from her old one and put it in mine, she said yes and now ive taken it apart taken out the memory but I dont know if it will work with my laptop. I've search the web and used websites like Crucial but I didn't really know what to do with that information so i decided to come here and ask.

The memory im trying to install is the Samsung 2gb 2rx8pc3-8500s-07-10-f2.
My laptop is the Fujitsu Lifebook AH532, heres a link to Crucial so you can see all the specs: http://www.crucial.c...2-upgrades.html

So if anyone knows whether that memory will be compatible that would be a huge help.
Thank you

:welcome: Fraseer

The ram from your sisters computer is slower than what is recommended by Crucial for your notebook and so if you only had one stick of Ram in your computer and added the 2GB stick from your sisters notebook your faster Ram would clock backwards to the slower speed.

How much Ram do you presently have in your notebook.

I've got one stick of 4gb at the moment, so I guess it'll be better to buy one. Thank you for your response.

If you have a 64-bit OS installed having 8GB of Ram will allow you to get the best out of it, a second 4GB stick of the same Ram that you have now would be the way to go if that is the case, if the OS is 32-bit the present 4GB would be enough.

You are welcome btw :)
