Recently [around the same time my bookmarks shuffled themselves a bit] my Google Chrome browser stopped opening pdf files on my pc.
It still works online. For some reason Chrome is not on the 'open with' list either, which is strange seeing as it is defo an application.
Any suggestions will be appreciated :)

Thanks Humble :)
The problem seems to have sorted itself out now.
Chrome is still not on the list of applications to ''open with'' which I find very odd, but its internal pdf reader is working now.
Bah! Problems that go away by themselves ....
Your assistance was much appreciated. :)

Thanks dude! Is that for Windows 7?

In XP it's in the drop-down Windows menu, Tools - Folder Options - File Type.
Chrome isn't listed, but by browsing you can select it but it doesn't register. At all. :/
Have a try!
Thanks for your help. :)

the chemist,

Yes, the original "set an association" provided link is for Windows 7; Check this (read entire article!): How to Set Google Chrome as PDF Viewer in Windows.

Nono, I know what you're on about, Humble, dude.
From the 'open with' window I browse to Google/Chrome/Application and click on Chrome.exe.
The Browse window closes but Chrome is not on the list. When I click Okay the setting remains unchanged.

It's as if my pc doesn't recognise Chrome as an application :/
