Hello, I find I cannot log in to my Dell Inspiron, I'm not sure if this is malware related or not, I just get the message "User profile service has failed log on". Has anyone come across this before?.

I forgot to mention than I did a system restore to a previous date, however, this made no difference.

For anyone who may be interested, I solved the problem using this link: support.microsoft.com/kb/947215.

Hello globaljoe,

Sorry for the delay in getting to you.

Probably overlooked because of the uncertainty of it being malware related.

Thank you for telling us the problem has be solved.

Just for future reference and for a speedy reply.

If you think it might not be a malware issue it's better to post in the relevant OS forum. That link you posted led to a Windows 7 support page so I guess the Windows 7 forum would have been the appropriate forum. :)
