I deleted 'users' folder from Windows (C:) by mistake and everything on my pc is messed up.I can't save games or access my pictures/downloads.
I can't bring that folder back because it was too big and was instantly removed from my pc.
Please help me,what can i do now?

Edit:i forgot to mention that before deleting the file a warning appeared saying that this action might affect windows.

Hi Nick :welcome:

Are you sure the c:\users folder is completely gone? or only it's contents?

Yes but before deleting it i expected something like that to happen so i copy pasted the 'users' folder to Data (D:).
Now i have it in my Data (D:) but when i copy paste it back to (C:) the problem is not getting fixed.
It's not completely gone, but it's in the wrong directory.

Most likely didn't work because the users folder contains the user profiles and is sensible to the file permissions...

Did you try to use System Restore to restore the system to a state before that change?

Yes but it could only recover some other files that i didn't need.
While doing this i saw an option saying that i can remove everything in my computer and have windows installed again. Isn't this something like format?
If yes, then i guess that's my only option...

Yes windows 8 include something like that but you have to reinstall all the programs and it's probably make sure you have backups of all your files in case something go wrong.

If the problem is only with the users folder you can try to create a new user account and see if the new user works as it should or not.

Are you referring to the pictures/videos/music in your old user folder or to the new ones inside the c:\users\new_user\?

Yes but as i said before i had copy pasted the users file to Data (D:) before deleting it,just to make sure i don't lose it completely,so i guess i will be able to access them from Data (D:).

After copying the files you need to take ownership of them, like this...
