Freezing & Restarts - Malware Issue?

Bad news... it took me more than 10 attempts to boot into normal mode this evening.
I am at such a loss-- I feel like you've been working so hard to help me and we're back to where it all began.
Can you let me know your thought process about where to head next? We have ventured very far from my knowledge of computer troubleshooting. Especially since we know its not malware anymore and don't think its a hardware problem (though my boss's IT guy husband keeps telling me over and over to RMA the motherboard... I have no idea what to do about that).
If it is of any help to you, I am very willing to reformat the hard drive if we just want to start from a clean slate. There isn't anything on this computer that I'd be worried about losing-- since it has been fussy from the start I haven't bothered doing anything with it. But again, only if you feel it would be helpful to you and the troubleshooting process.

Oh, and I just remembered that I wanted to let you know that internet explorer is still acting silly. Its still flashing/not opening.
And I also wanted to ask what, if anything, the file from the CPU check told you and if it gave you an idea why the computer blue screened?

Basically means return the motherboard to the vendor/point of purchase and ask for a replacement. Though I have seen no indication it is failing myself but entirely feasible, however you have not mentioned any specific system beeps during bootups to date. Though I recall something was mentioned in the other topic about a suspect memory module, which did not appear to be the root cause.though my boss's IT guy husband keeps telling me over and over to RMA the motherboard... Nothing that pinpointed to the CPU being the root-cause per-say but rather the other ongoing issues which it now appears still only partially rectified.And I also wanted to ask what, if anything, the file from the CPU check told you and if it gave you an idea why the computer blue screened?
OK as it stands three options to try as follows...
Option 1:
Reset IE using this Micosoft Fixit, if that does not rectify the IE problem then;
Upgrade to Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7.
Afterwards try and pinpoint the remaining issues via:-
Running Selective Start-up using System Configuration. A bit tedious but may just reveal something.
Option 2:
Perform a a reformat and reinstallation of the Windows Operating System. Then reinstall all relative software/drivers etc and Windows Updates. After the latter completed install a Anti-Virus.
If still problems then that may denote something hard-ware related we have not as yet identified. Then seek further assistance in the prior topic.
Option 3:
Solve the IE issues per option 1. Then we remove all tools used during the course of the malware removal process and you seek assistance again in the prior IT topic so further checks can be performed to verify if it is the motherboard failing or not.
Next:
Whichever of the above options you choose to undertake is absolutely fine by myself as the machine is your property after all and I always respect the wishes of those I assist.

And of course all the cool kids spend their Friday evenings formatting hard drives and installing Windows.
Do you have any tips or tutorials I should follow?

Fair play and as I mentioned prior absolutely fine which option you wish to proceed with.I think that I am going to go with option 2. I mean no disrespect to all the hard work you've done for me-its just that I don't feel like I'll be able to trust this computer unless I start over. Its just given us too many false positives.
