Hi!

This will be my first DIY build, can you please check if the parts are ok?

Approximate Purchase Date: this week
Budget Range: 650-700$ total
System Usage: Gaming

Parts:
- ASROCK B85M-HDS
not really sure about the motherboard, any tips?

- Intel Core i5 4570 s1150

- FSP RAIDER S ATX 550W 80+ Silver
OR
- FSP Hexa 500W
is it worth to go with the more expansive RAIDER or can i just stick with the cheaper HEXA? (about 14$ difference here) Or would you recommend something else? Maybe less W will be enough? (dont want to edge it tho)

- Kingston 8GB 1600Mhz DDR3 HyperX Blu CL9 XMP KIT 2x4GB (KHX1600C9D3B1K2/8GX)
I'm also thinking about buying BEAST instead of BLU, maybe even a 1833Mhz BEAST, (that would be CL9 also, the cost difference is around 14$) but i read that the upgrade isnt worth the extra money since you cant really notice any difference. Also the 1833Mhz might be a problem for the motherboard?

- 1TB WD 3.5" Caviar Blue SATAIII 64MB cache winchester (WD10EZEX)

- 120GB Samsung MZ-7TE120BW SSD 840 Series Evo Basic (MZ-7TE120BW)

Not planning to buy a GPU yet, gonna use the comp with the intel integrated graphix for a few months. When i do buy one i'm planning around 200$, any suggestions?

You are on the right track but improvements/changes can be made that will improve the build.

 

The MB is the micro ATX size and they can prove to be a problem with the space required by today`s add on video cards which can be rather on the large side, you should also opt for the newer Z87 chipset.

 

Your PSU is expensive but not particularly powerful, you are considering adding an add on video card further down the line so purchase a PSU now that allows for the new card or you risk having to upgrade the PSU again to handle the new video card or you will be restricted with your choice of new video card.

 

You have not included an OS such as Windows 7/8/8.1 64 on your list, what will you be using.
