Please help..

OS VISTA

I used to be able to write to CDR/W discs with the internal drive.  But suddenly I cannot and the properties say that it is not a recordable drive.  I have uninstalled the driver and VISTA has reinstalled it on restart.  This doesnt seem to help.  Thinking I could temporarily solve this, I connected an external CDRW drive, but the computer only recognizes this as a read only and NOT recordable device. Anybody out there who has any idea?

Thanks

Shaun
