I just bought my new note 3 and I was under the impression that it's all packed with sensors. How come the navigation doesn't work? The map can pinpoint my location and the compass doesn't work either.

The weather sensor works.

But I really need to have a compass for work.

Is there any additional hardware I need to install? I already tried calibrating it. It says there's no orientation sensor and navigation just keeps on getting an error.

Any suggestions?

Accuracy will vary dependant on the magnetometer in your mobile device and of course, any nearby magnetic fields.
