Hi! I'm Rooster_Boy, and I am very glad I have found this site!

You see, recently I got a strange error while running my minecraft game, called "ApphangB1". At first I thought it was just a normal crash, but every time I launch my game after 3 to 7 minutes it crashes. I can't give you the info about the crash as of now, and I am EXTREMELY technecly handicapped. If someone could please guide me through this, I would be very VERY happy. Also if this means anything, I have do have a few mods on Minecraft when it crashes. (I know this should be posted on minecraft forums, but after hours of troubleshooting and searching forum posts I needed a geek)

Hi Rooster_Boy, and welcome to Geeks to Go!

1. Do you have the latest version of Java installed?

2. Have you tried a System Restore to before when the problem began.

3. There is a Microsoft FixIt that may be applicable: http://support.micro...r_crashes/en-us

4. You could run System File Checker. Click the Start orb, type command, click on the command prompt icon. At the command prompt type SFC /scannow

Let us know if you need help with any of these steps, or if they leave the issue unresolved.

1. Yes, I have installed the latest version (does it need to be 64 bit?), and i also uninstalled old versions.

2. The error happened quite long ago, and I've done too much sence then, therefore I will not try this step.

3. I ran it, and it detected no errors.

4. I ran it, and it detected no errors.

I have also completly uninstalled and re-installed minecraft.

After all this, minecraft still gives me the error that it crashed due to apphangb1.

The problem is not resolved.

After some time of searching I have found that the entire problem was a game addon, thanks for the help anyway!

Nevermind. It stopped hanging for about a week, then just a few minutes ago it crashed due to apphangb1 again... I'm so confused....
