Hello,

I am have a problem with my wireless home network, I believe. The two computers that are on the network now redirect the homepage to say my flash player needs an update. Also, when I try to connect my mobile phone to the network it has loading errors. This is the reason why I think is might be a network problem rather than a individual computer problem. Please let me know what you think. Thanks for the help!

Thank for the prompt reply. I will try resetting my router. How does one get his router infected anyway?

It is carried out by a small programme which then uses the default router password to gain access, once it is there it changes the DNS settings to a server which takes over your search or tries to download malware

I pushed the reset button on the back of the router. It is a TP- Link TD-W8101G.

There are two ways to reset the router

Method one:

With the Router powered on, use a pin to press and hold the Reset button for at least 5 seconds. And the Router will reboot to its factory default settings.

Method two:

Restore the default setting from “Maintenance-SysRestart” of the Router's Web-based Utility.

Which method did you use

I used the first method. Then I was unable to connect to the internet.

I will do that, it might be a little bit. I will have to download that mini tool box somewhere else and get it onto my computer. When are you most readily available, so we can keep this discussion going.
