I'm having some trouble doing this upgrade myself and hoping someone here has some advice.  I bought a copy of W7 from Discount Mountain Software and downloaded the ISO file.  I have burned the ISO file onto 2 seperate DVD's now but the XP machine will not boot to them?? I downloaded and burned the DVD's on a W7 machine and they work fine in W7.  It wants to install W7 which is what I want to happen on the XP machine!  I have changed the boot order of the BIOS on the XP machine to boot from the optical drive and it tries.  After 30 seconds or so it defaults to the next drive in line which is the hard drive with XP.  Any ideas?
