CD-rw does not see disc in drive

interna and external cd-rw drive reads cds but will not burn them . Says no disc in drive on both units..Tried everthing I found on the net so far nothing works.Hoping some here has an answer.

This is possibly a problem with the burning software or the type of disk/s that you are using, is the problem the same if you try another brand of CD R/W disk or a DVD R/W disk.

Can I ask what type of data it is that you are trying to burn.
