Right click on Realtek RTL8190 802.11n Wireless LAN (Mini-)PCI NIC and select Disable then go to your start menu and type CMD Right click on the CMD program and select Run as Administrator. Paste this command in netsh wlan stop hostednetwork then press enter and then paste this command netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=disallow and press enter. Exit and reboot your computer.

 

I followed the instructions above, and came back with no results. I don't know what to tell you actually.   If it comes to repairing Windows, I may have to look into a external hard drive to back up my files. But as always if there's anymore we can do moving forward without repairing Windows, I am open to anything else you may have in mind.....

You will have to restart you computer before it will start checking the drive. When you are done rebooting Click on the start menu and type Event Viewer. Open Event Viewer, expand Windows Logs  and click on Applications. Doubleclick the entry in the table that has wininit in the Source column. Click Copy  in the bottom right corner and paste it here.

 

Also on you computer, navigate to c:\Windows\logs\cbs and upload the cbs.log file here.

I thank you for your patience with me, and yes I'm willing to continue as long as we both can go. As for these latest instructions, I will post here the results to you when the scanning of Automatically fix file system errors and, Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors is done. I'll send the results either tonight or tomorrow.

 

As for the cbs.log file. My computer is telling me that access is denied. There is another file there with it called Deep Clean. Did you want that one as well?

Along with the scanning details above. Here are Driver File Details for Realtek RTL8192CU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter, there are two Driver Files....

 

Those two drivers are: C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\RTWlanU.sys and

Microsoft Virtual Wi-Fi Miniport Adapter most likely came preinstalled on your computer. Normally it shouldn't be a problem, but there are reports of problems when two wireless adapters are installed. Is Microsoft Virtual Wi-Fi Miniport Adapter still showing up in your wireless adapters? Try right clicking and disabling it.

Well, that's a relief that I don't have or seem not to have a failing hard drive.  What I used to show the location of the drivers or how I got there was thru: Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections, then in Network Connections I right clicked on Wireless Network Connection 3 and clicked on Properties, then on the small window that opens, I clicked Configure, then clicked Driver, and finally clicked Driver Details. The exact name of Microsoft Virtual Wi-Fi Miniport Adapter is not showing in my wireless adapters. If it's suppose to be there, maybe that may be a clue or a lead to this problem I'm having....I don't know  The adapters that are only showing in Device Manager/Network Adapters other than the Miniport one are... Marvell Yukon 88E8071 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller, Realtek RTL8190 802.11n Wireless LAN (Mini-)PCI NIC, and Realtek RTL8192CU Wireless LAN 802.11n USB 2.0 Network Adapter.

 

I just noticed for the first time today in Device Manager/Network Adapters, that there is another adapter called Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter. I had not seen that one before and it's status reads:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)  What should I do about that particular one??

Hmm, can you copy the whole CBS folder, put it on your desktop, then turn it into a zip file and upload it here?

 

You shouldn't need Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter, try disabling.

 

It is very curious that your computer thinks it has a mini-pci wireless card. Can you give me the name and model number of your computer?

The Model number to my computer is: DX4300, and it's a Gateway PC

 

I have also disabled the Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter as well.

Yeah. Just found the other number for the model....It's DX4300-15

The logs show that it didn't find any corruption. Is it DX4300-15 or does it say DX4300-15e anywhere? I'm pretty sure your desktop has built in wireless. Unplug the USB adapter, and view the Network Adapters. Right click on Realtek RTL8190 802.11n Wireless LAN (Mini-)PCI NIC and select Enable. Then Right click and select Diagnose.
