wi-fi issues

hp 2000 notebook pc the wifi had started acting up more than a week ago and has progressively worsened. it disconnects constantly, when it does i'll click on the icon and click to disconnect then right after i click to connect and it will work again for however long then it goes again... is there anything that can be done? also i am computer illiterate, any help would be great...

does it happen only at one place, for example at your home, or at other places also? If the problem exists only at one place, you probably need to check your wifi router. It might be far from your laptop, or hidden behind a wall or some electronic  device

 

if it's everywhere try to install newer wifi driver
