trouble with Xp and Canon IR3100

Hi,
I cannot print to a network IR3100 printer from XP SP2.
The printer setup program recognises and installs the printer but when I print nothing happen.
I checked the port details of a win2k PC (that can print) and they are the same as the XP ones.

The print job goes in the queue but doesn't get printed but no errors show up, it just dies.
Any ideas?
