Hi gang,

My Sony Vaio E-series, running Windows 8.1 on a 64-bit system, has been acting up recently. It's been running slower than expected (taking a while to boot up, thinking about opening apps and folders) for a month or so and, in the last couple of days, has thrown up the dreaded BSOD three times in one day (driver_power_state_failure) and got stuck in an update loop today for about an hour (getting to ~13%) before failing and cancelling the update.

What scans and logs would you like me to run and post for you?

Any help appreciated!

T.

Hi -

I need system info + the dumps.

Easiest way - Please run this - http://www.sysnative...dows-vista.html

The zipped output should be attached to your next post here regardless of what the instructions say.

Happy Easter!

Hi, thanks for the starting advice.

a) has downloaded fine but b) is being blocked by my web security software as potential malware?

Best,

T.

No malware in that app I wrote, I guarantee you.

That app has well over 500,000 downloads (could even be a million+ by now - who knows).

It is mandatory to run at several other forums for help with BSODs.

A/Vs do flag it occasionally; not sure why.

Please override and run it.

I assure you it is safe.

Regards. . .
