Hi,
I connected a Lexar 4GB zip drive to my desktop and the Autoplay keeps recycling.
Is there a way of switching off the Autoplay from within the main desktop computer?
regards

Hello Rickles
What OS are you using.
If there is a problem with the device itself turning off autoplay on your computer is unlikely to help as it you may find the device is still inaccessible.
Does the device function correctly on another computer.
Have you tried every available USB port on the present computer.
How much free space is available on the device.
Does the device have a write protect tab on the side of it, if yes check that it is either write enabled or write protected and not in between the two, this can cause odd behaviour with such devices.
Hi,
I feel like an idiot now!
I tried the zip drive as per your instructions and found that it will open on my Laptop.
I have written myself a note and given myself a sever talking too.
I guess I panicked a bit as there were a couple of photographs I needed.
The whole zip drive is being copied to a 1TB External drive as I type this.
I will also go through any other zip drives I find.
Thank for your time and trouble and I cannot apologize enough.
Regards
