Hello jenger :)

Like aptitude would say in the Linux Terminal, we do not have Super Cow Powers!

What will you be using it for?

I will be managing a few websites, music and picture storing and downloading, web browsing and light game play by my son. I am just confused on the stats while browsing various laptops. For example: GHz and GB...what do I need to look for?

I always suggest Dells. I have had only good experiences with them.

Do you have a preference of brand? Size considerations? Price range?

I suggest something along the lines of:

Processor: 4th Gen Intel i3 - 4010U @ 1.7GHz- Gives you sufficient power and good battery life

RAM: 4GB or above

HDD: As you need.

Graphics: Intel HD 4400 would be more than adequate for some gaming as well.

GHz is the clock speed of the processor.

My price range is around $300. No preferences. Do you have any suggestions as to where to find one with those specs?

I like this one. See if you can get it cheaper or with offers in your area.
