Hallo

I have been relentlessly attacked by a cyber bully posting up malicious websites and posts. They have been trying to ruin my on line reputation as a composer. I finally found a link to them via an email, but I have no idea how to trace it back. The email was forwarded by ICANN, as I am having the domain name taken away from the culprit. But this will not stop them.

Can anyone help with ideas on how to trace the offender?

BTW - I am not "Sean McKeon" - this is the offender!

Blessings

Hello Wildebeeste

There are ways of tracing things back to people but there are also the correct procedures to do so, report this to the Police and provide them with any information that you may have, there are specific departments within the law that deal with such things and it is in your best interests (and possibly personal safety)  to have them deal with anyone that may have a case to answer.

Thank you technician,

I have a son in the police. But they have no resources to follow up on as they deal with "real" crime. Its too hard for them. But the cyber attacks on me are real. Perhaps there is a white hat forensic IT guru out there"

I do appreciate your kind reply.

You are most welcome Wildebeeste  :)

Not sure in which part of the world you are but below are some links that you may find helpful;

The FBI

Report cyberbullies

Report it

StaySafeOnline.org

stopbullying.gov

Remember that anyone can be the victim of cyberbullying regardless of their age etc, there are agencies around the world that deal with these unpleasant individuals and hopefully there is one that can quickly help you.

Good luck.
