  for RAM.

With the replacement, suggest a bare bones set up before assemble in the case.

Good luck.

Cheers. Have to see if Gigabyte/Amazon will replace it first

Well holy balls I love Amazon customer service. Got onto a live chat to ask for a replacement for my faulty motherboard. It took literally (and correct use of literally here) 45 seconds before the person had dispatched a new one Next Day delivery and emailed me a returns label for mine once the other one arrives. Super impressed with that. Let's hope this fixes my problem.

Still got my fingers crossed just in case, but I've had my new board in for 48 hours now without any freezes. The BIOS version is the same though interestingly, so perhaps the first board was just faulty. Either way i'm just hoping that this one doesn't freeze.

Thanks for the update rewan101

Hopefully the replacement MB will not suffer from the same issues, your bad experience with the previous MB is yet another one to add to the link that I provided back in reply #2 on May 6th, most frustrating for you  :(

Yeah has been a bit of a techno rollercoaster. But if this fixes it then i'll just be happy to have an armed and fully operational Battlestation.

Had 2 freezes since changing the mobo. Been a longer time for sure, 8 days or so with only 2. But it is still freezing >.<.

What BIOS ver. is being used? is there a update?

When did it freeze?

A BSOD or a message?

Using BIOS version F2, and there IS an update, but I didn't want to flash the BIOS so I had them replace the mobo, i assumed a mobo 6 months further on than the one i bought would have the updated BIOS, but sadly not. It froze while playing battlefield, but the day before it froze while just idle. And I get no messages or anything it just locks up on the screen of whatever i'm doing.
