I have a usb MIDI controller I'd like to connect for music purposes. The usb slots I have are more then enough to power the device. I plug it in, and it turns on and goes through the whole "installing driver" thing, but it always says that the device driver was not installed properly. The problem is that its plug and play and has no driver. I have other things like mouse and keyboard that are plug and play that worked fine. I did a little research and tried uninstalling the driver, enable and disable etc, but to no avail. I still get the yellow triangle with ! next to the device name in the manager. I've tried every usb slot I have again to no avail. Is there a way I can reset my plug and play drivers or redownload or something, because they worked fine back when I used them for the mouse and keyboard. I have no clue what happened between that time that would make this not work. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,

Have you tried to install it in a different computer? (as this should reveal if its working Ok or inherently faulty...)

Take a look here:

Yes I have. It works on a fresh install of win7. Although I'd really like to get it to work on this PC as I have much stuff and it would just be a huge hassle to reinstall. I've done everything the link you posted said to with no luck..
