Hey Geeks! I've got this BIG security issue. So here is what's happening.

So apparently Firefox (so does Opera) caches the images I come upon on. They icons, full web screen shots and thumbnails that are saved on my drive. I don't find them in folders.

When I use Piriform Recuva file recovery software to view all "deleted" things from the Recycle Bin I find images that have been saved.

Here I am showing you a picture of files being recovered. I've also selected one of the recovered images, which appears to be a screen shot of a page I've visited on FireFox,

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this critical security issue?

The image path for images are C:\?\ , whatever that means.

Here are some..

A YouTube Video screenshot:

Youtube Video Frames:

Random 'ad/banner' from 4Chan site.

An Adobe icon, most likely from Adobe or a site presenting the image on their site.

Edit: Note I want to add that I delete all my files from Eraser secure deletation software that would overwrite the software with random data so it won't be recoverable. So it can't be from saving the images, then deleting them.

Don't worry it's just a browser cache, it is used to load the webpage

more "easily"

It's normal for several computers but it can take up your disk space heavily

i recommend you to use this software :

Ccleaner

https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

 Hope this helps!  :yeah:

Yeah well that may be but I don't want it saved on my computer. I don't want it cached as it may cause potential security risk. I am already running a Eraser on my disk to  cypher the data. Any idea on how to stop such things from being saved on my computer?

Try "Google Chrome" it's fast and reliable

and doesn't save any temporary files like yours.

 100% Tested by Me!  :spoton:
