Hi all,

I've found an offer in a local seller, for a 32 LED TV, so I thought to buy it as a computer display. However my dad has an 32 LCD (not led) Full HD TV, and he wants to buy a new bigger one, so he offered me to take it instead of buying a new one. my questions are as follows:
1.Is there any difference between a full-hd led tv and a computer screen that will make me regret buying a tv instead?
here is the tv specs for the LED tv I'm talking about:

2. Are LED TVs better than LCDs for the eyes, for long day use?

I appreciate any advise.
Thanks

A 120hz screen wont hurt your eyes. A lot of people use tv's as monitors, there is no reason you shouldn't

LCD could be easier on your eyes but the difference isn't substantial.

Better specs for the screen here

Can I ask what video card you have, I ask as you want at least 2GB of VRam or you will get poor video quality and depending on the card sometimes no display whatsoever.

HD Ready TVs cannot muster anything beyond 1028x768, but that is not a bad thing. You'll find those in the cheap and that resolution paired with a big screen will actually be the most confortable experience while 1080p screens will provide a confortable refresh rate but everyhting will be so miniscule by default that you will have to change DPI settings in order to be able to read. That is, if you are using it to work. If you are using it for media, then the best resolution will provide the best picture quality, still, a good graphics card is absolutely paramount so that you reap the benefits of such a display.
