Hello wylli501

Unfortunately not all notebooks can have their graphics solution upgraded, your video is provided by an integrated chip which is the 4500MHD and is not a card that can be swapped out.

Notebook specs here

4500MHD information here

Your notebook specs surpass the requirements to run flight simulator X see here

No SRL report attached btw

Thank you for your response to my query. It gives me a little better understanding of why I couldn't find a video card. However  I can't get flight simulator to load in my laptop.  It gets all the way to the end and then reports a problem. System requirements lab reports a failure with the video card if I'm reading it right.

Is it that I need to load a updated driver? Do you think this will clear my problem?  Thanking you in advance for your assistance.

Apologies for the delay wylli501, I was called to business away from home and have not been near a computer for a couple of days   :(

Try the program installer/uninstaller to remove the present failed install and then start afresh, see here

The system information above does not correspond with that of your notebook specs, the 4500M HD video chip for example is DX10 and pixel shader 4.0 capable.

If a clean install does not work, download then run Speccy and post the resultant url for us, this will tell us the correct spec information, details here

Hi

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried a reinstall but got an error message when I tried to register FSX.

I hope I copied enough information from Speccy. When I tried to copy/paste it all the page kept crashing so I'm pasting what I hope is what you need.

Hello wylli501

We need the actual url ( which does not contain your product key ) as what you have post does not provide all of the information that we need.

Sorry I am taking so long to respond but I'm a real dunce with this stuff.  I can't figure out how to get the information you need. I have posed the question to Speccy support and will get back to you when they respond.  The thumbnail you have is different from what I get. I even paid for the pro version but that hasn't been a help. I'm open to any ideas in the meantime.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with Speccy  :(

Too late now but paying for Speccy was unnecessary, what is the actual problem that you are having.

Steps: Run Speccy, when the report is generated left click/highlight the browser bar as shown in my previous screenshot, once highlighted right click on it, select copy, when you next reply right click at the end of any text that you may input, select paste and you should then see your url which will be the same as the following example http://speccy.pirifo...1DnQOuJaDPOADIC

I must be a complete dunce because when I click on speccy I don't get a browser bar it just gives me an analysis of my pc. I posted a question to them about that and they haven't responded for 2 days (despite my question being marked priority by them) I'm at a total loss.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

  1. In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
  2. In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
  3. Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Thank you for your perseverance

Speccy confirms that your specs meet the system requirements and Game Debate states that your GPU will play the Gold Edition, see here

Please run dxdiag and post a screenshot like the first one here

To capture and post a screenshot;

Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload... then after typing in any response you have... click on browse...desktop...find the screenshot..select it and click on the upload button...then on the lower left...after it says upload successful...click on add reply like you normally would.

Screenshot instructions are provided to assist those that may read this topic but are not yet aware of the “how to”.
