Hi

I have a core i7,  8 GB,  64 bit,  windows 7 laptop that keeps revving even if I am not running major programs. The revving is quite fast at times and I wondered if there is any way of checking if there is a problem with the cpu/fan. the laptop is about 4 years old.

Thanks

Run HWMonitor while it's "revving" and post a screenshot.
