Also, I noticed today that Kasp does give me the open to "ignore" or "add to exclusions".  I guess this would get rid of the warnings.  Any way to further check the partition?

The MBR has been double checked using 3 disparate tools and as the alert is appearing on the windows recovery partition, which is inactive, I feel the false positive is confirmed

Select add to exclusions and it will bother you no more

As you send the system to sleep with several programmes open then you will find that it will slow down as time progresses as memory will be filled as soon as you return from sleep, after a while some programmes will be removed from memory but it is not instantaneous.
