I have a Nobilis laptop. I recently had the hard drive replaced and had Windows 7 put on it. Whenever I try to use the webcam, it tells me I don't have any video capture hardware. The laptop has a built in webcam. What is causing this and how do I fix it? Please help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Webcam won't work. Says there's no capture hardware?

Did you put back the drivers and software for this Webcam ?
Any yellow exclamation points in the device manager ?

I am not sure. I did not do the update myself. So I'm assuming not. How would I get those drivers?
There is no icon in the device manager indicating there's a webcam, so no yellow exclamation points. Looks as though it doesn't recognize it??? But idk how to make it recognize the built in webcam.

So this laptop came with which operating system ?
If you replaced the hard drive then i assume the recovery partition if you had one is also gone.
Did you ever have disc.'s that came with this Laptop ?
I never received the model of this Nobilus.
Always try the manufacturers website for a way to download software and driver updates.
Your laptop should recognize a webcam that is integrated into the system and at least put a generic driver in.

The laptop came with Vista then it was changed to Windows XP and the webcam worked fine then. I do not have the recovery discs anymore.
I will try that website, thanks for the help.

I think I found the correct driver but it's made for Vista which was the original operating system for the laptop. Know how to make it work for Windows 7?
I feel like I'm asking an impossible question.

Your Welcome, Only the manufacturer's website will be able to tell you this.
Since i do not know the Model number it was hard for me to look it up for you.
This is also an overseas manufacturer for me, i am in the States. Some needed to be translated.
If you knew what brand the webcam was then you could go to there website, but i am not sure it is different then the brand of laptop you have.
In some cases drivers work for a few Operating systems, but you are saying it is not. Windows 7 did not recognize it, put a generic one in.
