Every once in a while I'll get a popup telling me that ar.voicefive has been blocked while on the internet.  I had a problem with Sweetpacks being installed on my system and I thought I had it completely removed.  I noticed in the programs and features there was a program called Internet explorer toolbar 4.7 sweetpacks that i'm unable to remove.  It tells me that the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.  It also says to click ok to try again, or enter an alternative path to a folder containing the installation package Sweet IE Setup.msi in the box below.  How or can I remove this without a reinstall?  Thank you.

Looking better now, how is the computer behaving ?

 

Could you now update malwarebytes and run a scan, posting the log on completion

It would not let me do a scan with Malwarebytes on a downloaded file.  When I right clicked on the file and selected to scan using malware it did nothing but said that the program stopped working and to check on line for a solution and close program.  It runs for about a second then closes but still isn't working.  Says the same when trying to open malwares program.  Program doesn't work now.

OK lets re-install MBAM

 

Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features

Uninstall malwarebytes (if it fails go direct to the next step)

Download the MBAM uninstall tool

Run the tool and reboot

 

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware to your desktop
Install the progamme and select update
Once it has updated select Settings > Detection and Protection
Tick Scan for rootkits

Go back to the Dashboard and select Scan Now

If threats are detected, click the Apply Actions button, MBAM will ask for a reboot.

On completion of the scan (or after the reboot)  select View Detailed Log
Select   Export >  Select text file and save to the desktop
Attach/Post that log

When I first removed malware from the programs and features then downloaded the program again, upon reinstall it keep coming up with an error so I did the MBAM uninstall program.  Then it let me reinstall the program with no problem.  I have attached both log files, before and after using the MBAM uninstall tool.

It seems to be working fine right now and MBAM is working like it should.

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean

A good workman always cleans up after himself so..The following will implement some cleanup procedures as well as reset System Restore points:

Download and run Delfix



Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

CryptoPrevent install this programme to lock down and prevent crypto ransome ware



Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean


It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.
