I don't know where else to put this...

Well, I have a Toshiba Satellite with Windows 7 and Kaperky Anti-virus. I tried to download something not too long ago, and ran into several problems which prevented the computer from working at all except in safe mode. So I went into safe mode and uninstalled the file there, but when I logged back on normally, the computer was incredibly slow and froze as soon as I clicked on anything. So I logged back on in safe mode, uninstalled and deleted over thirty gigabytes of data, ran a full virus scan and finally defragmented the hard drive. It worked, for a few minutes, and then it became slow again. It wasn't as slow as before, but definitely slower than it had been before the trouble began, and standard Microsoft things like the toolbar began to freeze. I'm not sure what the problem is. Any help?

It was SWTOR. I think. I wasn't the one who downloaded it. And yes, Kaspersky is paid for.

As long as the download was from a legitimate source it should not cause any issue/s.

Is Kaspersky a recent addition or have you used it for a while.

Download then run Speccy and post the resultant urlfor us please, details here

I noted in your Speccy report the following, AVG and McAfee could be causing conflicts with Kaspersky and need to be removed, AVG removal tool here, how to remove McAfee here, the other two are foistware that you have been landed with at some point, if removing the AVG and McAfee software does not resolve the issue it is advisable that the computer is checked for malware, I will provide the GTG malware redirection information as and when if required.

C:\Program Files (x86)\AskPartnerNetwork\Toolbar\apnmcp.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\AVG Secure Search\vToolbarUpdater\18.1.5\loggingserver.exe
C:\Program Files\McAfee Security Scan\3.8.130\SSScheduler.exe
C:\Program Files (x86)\Wajam\Updater\WajamUpdaterV3.exe

I suspect that you have some malware on your computer causing issues that we are not able to solve through means we can use here in the Tech Forums. I suggest you read the 'Start Here' topic found here. With these self-help tools you have a high chance of fixing the problems on your own. If you are still having problems after following Step 3 of the guide, continue with Step 4 and 5 and post in the Malware Forum. If you are unable to run any programs, Please create a topic stating what you have tried so far and that you are unable to run any programs. Also, Please do NOT post the logs in this thread.

If you are still having issues after the malware expert gives you a clean bill of health, Please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).

Additional guidance;

1: Do not create a topic on the malware forum unless you have a malware issue that you cannot resolve yourself.

2: If you do need to start a topic there provide a link to this thread so that steps that have already been taken can be checked.

3: As the Malware Techs are extremely busy you may not receive an instant reply, if you have waited for three days then post in the Waiting Room, be sure to identify the issue as malware related and provide a link to your malware topic.
